I decided that I needed a fish finder after many disappointing fishing trips where I just couldn’t seem to find the fish.

After doing some research, I landed on the Raymarine Dragonfly 7 Pro CHIRP Fish Finder with built-in GPS and WiFi with Navionics+ Charts and Transducer.

This product had great reviews on Amazon, so I decided to give it a try.

Here’s my review of the fish finder and how it helped me to catch some fish!

Key Specs:

  • Brand: Raymarine.
  • Color: Black.
  • Form Factor: Cover
  • Material: Plastic
  • Keep your screen protected from the elements

CHIRP Technology – True Wide Spectrum

Raymarine’s exclusive Wide Spectrum CHIRP technology gives anglers the ability to see more fish, identify them and catch them.

The Dragonfly 7 PRO uses both conventional sonars for finding fish at long range and wide-angle Chirp DownVision sonar for close viewing of structure details and baitfish groups.

GPS Built In

With the Dragonfly Pro, there’s no need to worry about bringing along a separate GPS unit – it’s built right in!

This makes it super convenient and easy to use, especially when you’re out on the water and don’t have a lot of extra space.

Plus, with the included Navionics+ charts, you’ll always know exactly where you are and how to get back to shore.

Wi-Fi Enabled for Streaming Data

Connecting your fish finder to the internet via Wi-Fi is extremely useful as it allows you to stream data from the device to your smartphone or tablet.

This means you can keep a close eye on what’s happening beneath the surface of the water even when you’re not physically next to the device.

It also enables you to share your data with other anglers, which really helps if you’re trying to figure out where the fish are biting.

All Weather Display with Brighter Colors and Sharper Contrast

Whether you’re out on the open sea or braving a storm, this fish finder all-weather display will keep going. The high-definition colors and sharper contrast make it easier to read in any kind of light, so you can focus on finding that catch.

Guaranteed to Never Fog Up

This fish finder is guaranteed to never fog up, no matter what the conditions are like outside. That’s because it uses cutting-edge technology that includes a special coating on the lenses that prevents moisture from condensing.

So whether it’s raining, snowing, or even humid, you can always count on getting a clear view of what’s going on beneath the surface.

Review and Score

Our Score: 88/100

I bought this fish finder as an upgrade from my Lowrance Elite-4x. I was looking for something with better resolution and more features, and the Dragonfly Pro 7 fit the bill perfectly.

It has great CHIRP sonar with excellent target separation, plus it comes with a Navionics+ chart card that gives me detailed mapping of all the lakes and rivers in my area.

The built-in GPS is also a nice touch, and the WiFi connectivity makes it easy to update the software and download new charts when needed.

The only downside of this unit is that it doesn’t come cheap, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a top-of-the-line fish finder/depth sounder.

Conclusion

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the Raymarine Dragonfly Pro CHIRP Fish Finder. It was very easy to set up and use, and the built-in GPS and WiFi were great features.

The Navionics+ charts were also beneficial in finding good fishing spots.

The transducer worked well and provided clear images of the fish below. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high-quality fish finder.
