5/5 - (1 vote)

The Raymarine Axiom 7 is a top-of-the-line fish finder that has many features which make it perfect for both amateur and professional anglers alike.

I have been fishing since I was a child, and in recent years have gotten more serious about it as both a hobby and a way to relax.

When I decided to upgrade my old fish finder, the decision was easy to go with the best and get the Raymarine Axiom 7.

In this review, I’ll run through some of the features that impressed me most about this fantastic piece of fish finder.

Key Specs:

  • Brand: Raymarine.
  • Screen Size: 7 Inch.
  • Weight: 6.5 Pounds
  • Screen: LCD

Multifunction Display

The Axiom 7 comes with a 7-inch multifunction display that is sunlight-viewable and touchscreen. This display is big enough that you won’t miss any important details, but not so big that it’s unmanageable.

The touchscreen feature is also very handy, as it allows you to quickly and easily zoom, pan, and navigate your way around the screen.

3D Real Vision with CHIRP Down Vision, CHIRP Side Vision, and Traditional CHIRP Sonar

The 3D Real Vision feature on this fish finder is quite impressive, as it gives you a great view of what’s going on beneath the water’s surface.

CHIRP Down Vision and CHIRP Side Vision also work together to give you a clear picture of what’s happening around your boat.

Traditional CHIRP sonar also gives you a good idea of where the fish are biting, so you can adjust your strategy accordingly.

Quad Core Processor

The Axiom 7 is one serious fish finder, and a big part of that is its quad-core processor.

This little powerhouse can handle more information than ever before, meaning you get a clearer, more accurate picture of what’s going on below the surface.

Whether you’re looking for baitfish or trying to avoid obstacles, the Axiom 7 will give you all the data you need to make smart decisions.

Multi-touch Interface and Powerful Lighthouse 3 Operating System

With the multi-touch interface, you can easily zoom, pan, and navigate your way around the Axiom 7 fish finder.

The powerful Lighthouse 3 operating system provides fast-tracking performance and easy operation.

Plus, with built-in GPS, WiFi, and Chirp Sonar, you’ll be able to find fish like never before.

Built-in Wi-Fi paired with free Raymarine Apps to Control Your Unit From iOS or Android Device

The built-in Wi-Fi on the Axiom 7 allows you to connect your iOS or Android device to it and view or control the unit from there.

This is extremely useful if you want to keep an eye on your fish finder while you’re doing other things, or if you want to share what you’re seeing with someone else.

The free Raymarine Apps make this process quick and easy, and they also allow you to add additional functionality such as Sonar Chart Live and Forecast HD.

Great Mapping with Navionics+ Charts

Including Navionics+ charts with the Raymarine Axiom 7 Fish Finder was a great move on the part of the company.

These charts provide you with detailed information on depth, contours, and more, so you can plan your fishing trips with confidence.

Plus, with the built-in GPS, you can easily mark your favorite fishing spots and return to them time and time again.

Review and Score

Our Score: 87/100

I found this product to be OK. It is a fish finder and it does what it is supposed to do but I have used better products.

The GPS and Wi-Fi work well and the Chirp Sonar is clear enough. However, RealVision 3D doesn’t work as well as I thought it would.

The transducer works fine but it is a bit cumbersome to use. Overall, I would give this product an 87 out of 100.
